Exciting News – SJE will soon be offering EAL programs

Stephanie Jensen Equestrian is thrilled to announce that in early 2016 we will be expanding the business to offer a range of exciting new programs.

Stephanie has now completed her Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Facilitator Certification, certified in the the original Cartier Farms EAL program. The Cartier Farms EAL program has been developed through extensive research and in the field testing, and is the only program of its kind recognized by the Saskatchewan Horse Federation. EAL programs are engaging and interactive, and teach essential life skills using the sensitive and reactive nature of the horse.

Stay tuned because SJE will be launching a new business, called ‘CONNECT!’, in early 2016! We will be offering our EAL services to the Durham Region, Kawartha Lakes, and GTA. Keep an eye out for more information and dates on our 2016 programs. Plus we’ve also got an up-and-coming Open House you’re going to want to check out!

Stephanie would also like to personally thank Tracey and Jenn of Dreamwinds for running a great certification program, and for helping her get started on this exhilarating new journey!

Preparing for the 2015 Show Season!

Ontario – This winter may be proving to be especially cold, with endless snow and lower than average temperatures, but team SJE has been cranking up the heat in preparation for the 2015 show season. The winter temperatures have not stopped Stephanie and her team of show riders who have been braving the Canadian winter and continued training in anticipation for the fast approaching 2015 show season. Coming of a successful 2014 season, including Dressage at Devon and some great wins for team SJE on their home soil, the team is ready for spring and the show season.

Stephanie has officially declared herself, and her Grand Prix mount SJE Addiction, for the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, and one of her young riders is currently campaigning towards juniors. Keep your eye out for Team SJE on the show grounds across Ontario this summer!

Team SJE were victorious at the 2014 Ontario Dressage Championships

Royal Winter Fair 2014

Toronto, ON – The 2014 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair proved to be a great rap to the show season as rising 2011 gelding SJE Delfino (Don Schufro x Gauguin de Lully) placed 4th in the Governor General’s Cup. One of his first shows ever, the stunning homebred gelding strutted his stuff against a tough field of competitors, selected from the top young stock in Canada, and strutted his stuff in the Ricoh early Saturday morning.

Dressage at Devon

Pennsylvania, USA – Sept 2014 – Fall may have been in the air, but competition was hot at Dressage at Devon 2014. Making his Devon debut, SJE Addiction strutted his stuff and showed some Canadian horsepower in the Grand Prix ring.

Stephanie and SJE Addiction scored a series of personal bests throughout the competition, and wowed audiences Saturday night with a country themed freestyle that earned them a score of 67.875%.

You can view Stephanie and SJE Addiction’s great Freestyle ride on the USEF Network’s coverage of Saturday evening at Dressage at Devon, found here (starting at 53 min in).

Summer in the Show Ring

Ontario – 2014 – It may have been a cooler than average summer, but Stephanie and SJE Addiction were on a role this show season, heating up the ring with some stellar show performances. The field of competition may have been tough, but the pair gave it everything they had, placing well at Palgrave and the CDI3* at RCRA.

On top of her own successful show season, Stephanie coached two team SJE riders to championships performances throughout the season, and at the Ontario Dressage Championships.

Angelstone CDI 3*

Rockwood, ON – June 2013 – Stephanie and SJE Addiction packed their bags and hit the road for their first big show of the season, the Equivents CDI3* Dressage Competition held at Angelstone Farm, June 14-16. Stephanie and SJE Addiction participated in the Grand Prix on Friday, as well as the Grand Prix Freestyle which took place on Saturday evening. It was a tough field of competition but SJE Addiction gave it his all, marking a great start to the pair’s 2013 show season.

Clinics with Cherri Reiber

Show season may have drawn to a close over the winter in Canada, but Stephanie and SJE Addiction have continued their training with guidance from renowned rider and trainer Cherri Reiber. While having numerous one-on-one sessions with Ms. Reiber at Jensen Equestrian, Stephanie also held a Dressage clinic with Cherri, open to Dressage riders of various levels within the Community.

Lit Quadrille

Toronto ON – November 2012 – Stephanie was thrilled to be able, for the second year in a row, to participate in the Lit Dressage Quadrille at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. The quadrille paid homage to 50 years of James Bond, and was performed Thursday and Friday night to a packed house in the Ricoh Coliseum.

Alongside team members Julie Watchorn, Joyce Cameron, and Harper Mackenzie, Stephanie aboard SJE Addiction performed an intricate Quadrille completely in the dark. The outline of each horse was illuminated by hundreds of small Christmas lights that allowed spectators to watch each of the movements, while keeping the riders hidden from view.

The quadrille was choreographed by Evi Pracht, with costumes by Harry Quan.
