PLEASE NOTE: Our Munchkins and Minis program is an interactive ground program – there is no riding in this program.
All children participating in the Munchkins & Minis program must wear:
- a helmet (a bicycle helmet is fine)
- closed toe footwear
- gloves
Stephanie Jensen Equestrian provides full service lesson programs from Grassroots to Grand Prix.
Our safe and reliable school horses and ponies can accommodate riders from the age of 3 years to adults. We provide fun and safe supervision during all activities both on and off the horses.
There’s no connection like the one you will make with a horse. SJE and Munchkins and Minis are here to help young people to adults learn to ride and care for horses, and experience the unique bond between horses and humans.

Munchkins and Minis
8 week program for 3-4 years olds only!
This parents (or grandparents!) and tots class will introduce little ones to the wonderful world of ponies while teaching empathy, respect and kindness.
Together, you will work with the mini horses to learn about horse safety, grooming, and horsemanship. Munchkins will take part in safe, interactive learning sessions where they will learn about grooming and how to lead the minis. This 30 minute session will allow them to get comfortable around our minis, and learn how to work around them safely.
Children must be able to follow basic safety instructions. This is a very interactive class with lots of parental involvement. The adults will have just as much fun as the little ones.
Please note that there are no makeup lessons and no refunds available in these programs.
Munchkins and Minis Program
8 week Program for ages 5-8
This parents (or grandparents!) and tots class will introduce little ones to the wonderful world of ponies while teaching empathy, respect and kindness.
Together, you will work with the mini horses to learn about horse safety, grooming, and horsemanship through games and activities. Munchkins will take part in interactive, progressive learning activities with our miniature horses in a group settings. Participants will learn a safety and grooming, as well as participate in activities and exercises on the ground with our minis!
Children must be able to follow basic safety instructions. This is a very interactive class with lots of parental involvement. The adults will have just as much fun as the little ones.
This class is 30 minutes long. Please only arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled class.
