Stephanie Jensen’s passion for horses began at an early age. She first climbed onto her family’s backyard pony at just two years old, sparking a lifelong love for equestrian sport. What started as a childhood pastime quickly grew into a dedicated pursuit, as she advanced through through Pony Club in both dressage and jumping before ultimately focusing her talents on dressage at the age of twelve.
Her commitment and natural ability soon led her to the international stage. In 1996 and 1997, Stephanie proudly represented Canada at the North American Young Riders Dressage Championships. At the 1997 finals, she achieved an impressive 4th place individually and contributed to the team’s 4th place finish overall. Building on that success, Stephanie was later named to the Canadian Dressage Team’s Long List with her horse, Marzano. Their partnership took her to Germany for advanced training and culminated in their Grand Prix debut in 2004.
Alongside her competitive career, Stephanie pursued academics, graduating from the University of Guelph’s agricultural program in 1999. Soon after, she founded Stephanie Jensen Equestrian, based in Blackstock, Ontario. What began as a coaching and sales business grew into a dynamic operation offering clinics, competitive training, and breeding and sales of performance horses.
Today, Stephanie competes successfully at the Grand Prix level. Stephanie has also expanded her business in creative and meaningful directions. She now specializes in developing a boutique group of dressage horses for high-level competition while spearheading her highly popular Munchkins & Minis program. This unique initiative introduces children to horsemanship through hands-on learning with miniature horses, blending life skills, confidence building, and fun. In addition, she offers corporate team-building workshops, mobile parties, and community events through Munchkins & Minis. Her vision is to create family-friendly, inclusive programs that offer something for everyone—from grassroots to those pursuing Grand Prix ambitions.
Stephanie’s credentials reflect her lifelong dedication to the sport. She has been an FEI rider since 1996, competing many horses in the FEI level and holds certifications as an Equine Canada Level 2 Dressage Coach, Competition Coach Specialist, Equestrian Canada Gold Medalist, and Cartier Farms Certified Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Facilitator.
Her career—shaped by talent, hard work, and an unwavering love of horses—continues to inspire riders and equestrians of all ages.
